Lunch Service

We offer a lunch every weekday at Noon.  Do drop by for good food and great conversation.  Please call 829-2440 to make a reservation.  Please make your reservation before 1PM on the day before you wish to eat lunch.  A donation is requested. We hope to see you!

Friday, February 26th, 2:00: Music of the Heart with Meryl Streep, Gloria Estafan and Cloris Leachman.

The uplifting true story of a violin teacher, Roberta Guaspari. She is a woman who battled insurmountable odds to teach underprivileged children in East Harlem the gift of music. As Roberta struggles to convince a skeptical school board, as well as skeptical parents, that this music will help the children immensely. She must conquer seemingly insurmountable odds to do just that. Eventually, she does.

  We are introducing the Nintendo Wii Video Game. You can play games such as bowling, ping pong, tennis and golf. Come and exercise your brain, hand-eye coordination and get a good workout in a safe environment.
 

Friday, January 15th 2:00

  Alicia Kamin, Emotional Freedon Techniques (EFT) instructor, will be teaching us about a new approach to relieve pain and tension. EFT is a group of powerful processes that can help just about anyone to achieve genuine freedom from the emotions that have created problems in their lives. These techniques have been described by some as one of the most important breakthroughs in the area of psychology in this century. They have been used successfully with thousands of people with a broad range of difficulties. This simple, non-invasive method can quickly reduce pain in the body, both physical or emotional pain. You may even feel immediate relief of some of your symptoms! You will leave with a tool that you can easily use at home.

  Casey Kho, an outreach specialist with the California Telephone Access Program, will give an informational talk on how the Telephone Access program might help you with free services. Casey will show you how to get free services through your telephone company that you may not know about.

Tuesday, January 26th 3:00

  Chamber Music is returning to SASC. This concert is featuring Vicki Trimbach, pianist and Dan Reiter, Cellist. They will be performing works by Chopin, Respighi, Faure, Reiter and Trimbach.

Dan Reiter is returning to SASC. He is the princioal cellist for the Oakland East Bay Symphony and the Festival Opera Orchestra. He has been performing concerts for over 25 years.

Vicki Trimbach ia a pianist/composer and performs Chamber Music concerts in San Francisco and Berkeley. A number of her chamber music works have the odd distinction of including the Australian didjeridu with the cello and flute. Over the last 10 years Viocki has composed a range of chamber music and a symphonic suite.

Come and enjoy a small concert in the comfort of our center. The cost of this event is $12.00.

  We are having a Birthday party social with music and refreshments in honor of all those born in the month of February. Join us for this sparkling celebration and enjoy sumptuous birthday cake Enjoy Karaoke music and singing with Mike DiFranco, singer and National Dance Competitor. Sing-a-long with him or if you are really brave, he will let you try your hand at Karaoke.

  We are having a Bilingual Exchange. Practice your Spanish and help others with their English at this monthly tea and pastries social. Join this small group of people who want to improve their Spanish or English Skills.

  It is time for our famous annual Chocolate Extravaganza. Taste the best chocolates in Sonoma County. This year's theme is Chocolate and Port. Learn to pair chocolates with ports. According to one of last year's attendees: "It's not just the wonderful chocolate, it's the whole experience: the music, the decorations the experience of seeing and tasting those beautiful chocolates." Come and join us. The cost is $10.00.

Friday, February 19th 3:00

  Join us for a Festival of Sonoma County Wildlife slideshow. Brandon Hutchinson, local Photographer and Naturalist, is returning to share his breathtaking photography with us. He will have close ups of every day life in the wild at Point Reyes, Petaluma Marsh and Anadel parks.
 

Friday, March 19th

  Gregg Fogg, owner of Heart and Sole Foot Care, is speaking about proper foot care and proper shoes. He will bring a treadmill and a computer video camera to help watch your stride and he will make recommendations, especially with planters factials. A local podiatrist will be with him to speak, as well.
 

Tuesday, March 30th

  Chamber Music is returning to SASC. This concert is featuring Dr. Jan Olvera, pianist and Dr. Alice Lenaghan, flute and Piccolo. They have successfully collaborated on a series of concerts over the last several years that have delightes audiences in Woodland, Davis and Sacramenta with their fresh, joy-filled approach to live classical performance. The artists seek to make classical concerts more audience-friendly through the use of humor and engaging verbal commentary.

Come and enjoy a small concert in the comfort of our center. The cost of this event is $12.00.
