Annual Holiday Appeal

The Sebastopol Area Senior Center has undergone tremendous change this year. We have welcomed a new executive director, our beautiful new commercial kitchen is up and running and sadly we lost a vital member of our staff last month.

While change can sometimes mean upheaval…not here…we continue work hard, thrive, and move forward.

Along with our new Executive Director, Joan Churchill, staff and volunteers, the Board has just completed a tremendous strategic plan for 2023 - 2025. With your help we can:

  • Serve our ever-growing elder population

  • Address the needs of those caring for their elders

  • Grow classes, exercise, support groups, lunch program, and services in person and virtual

  • Continue to provide rides to those who can no longer drive

  • Provide meaningful and fun volunteer opportunities for 150+ volunteers

  • Meet the needs of our LGBT elders, family caregivers, and “new” and “old” seniors

As evidence that we are thriving, with your support this year the Sebastopol Area Senior Center has:

  • Welcomed back 1,266 individuals, who signed in for 10,844 activities, services or lunch

  • Provided 1386+ meals and fun at our Harvest Cafe

  • Provided 2,200 rides so people who can no longer drive can get to doctor’s , grocery store etc.

And so much more! Now, more than ever, we need you. Your contribution to our annual drive will allow us to keep going and serve even more elders – over 32% of our community is aged 60 and older; we are vital.
