 Tuesday, July 25, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Sebastopol Area Senior Center will present Matter of Balance class — a fun, free eight-session program — for seniors at all balance levels beginning Tuesday, July 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. and continues Tuesdays and Thursdays through August 17.

The program is for seniors whose concerns about falling compromise their ability to confidently navigate their lives and those who have experienced a fall injury that has resulted in limited physical or social activity. Seniors who have not experienced a fall can benefit by learning practical and proactive strategies to address everyday risk.

Participants identify individual solutions to pressing real-world challenges. Many have discovered hazards they were unaware of before and eliminated them before a fall could occur.

Classes are interactive with engaging activities that get results. Safe chair exercise begins in Session Three with a focus on building strength, flexibility, and overall conditioning in those areas of the body essential to steadiness and stability. Space is limited. Reserve a spot today by contacting program coordinator Dana Jacoby, at 707-565-5936 or by email at djacoby@schsd.org.
