Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) are evidence-based strength, balance, and fitness classes that include aerobics, balance exercises, strength training with wrist and ankle weights, and stretching exercise.

About the Instructor: Julie Smith completed her degree in Physical Therapy from UCSF in 1985, after finishing her undergraduate work at UC Berkeley. Julie works at North Santa Rosa Physical Therapy after having been in private practice in Sebastopol for the last six years. In her practice, Julie focuses on general orthopedics, chronic pain, Parkinson’s Disease and balance training. She has been a Feldenkrais practitioner for over 20 years and is a certified clinician in LSVT BIG, an intensive exercise regimen for people with Parkinson’s Disease.
