The Legacy

A Crafting and Resale Store

Open 10am - 4pm
Monday through Saturday

In late 1993, the Sebastopol Area Senior Center received a remarkable gift: a husband from Burlingame donated his late wife’s extensive collection of crafting materials. Her lifetime collection became the foundation for a small resale shop—one that would eventually grow into The Legacy.  Since then, The Legacy has thrived, fueled by generous donations from crafters throughout the county. Today, the store is beautifully stocked with supplies of every kind. Depending on current donations, you might find everything from upholstery-weight fabrics to silk, natural and synthetic yarns, threads in every imaginable color, ribbons, bindings, knitting and sewing needles, acrylic paints, brushes, and even sewing patterns.  Every dollar of profit from The Legacy goes right back into supporting the Sebastopol Area Senior Center’s annual programs and services.

🎄Holiday Store at the West County Museum - Open December 5, 6, 7, 8
We have officially donated and transferred our annual pop-up store to the West County Museum! Located in downtown Sebastopol, the West County Museum (ie., Depot) is looking to raise funds to archive the town’s records. The money received from the holiday pop up, along with your generous donations, will help preserve Sebastopol’s history.

🛑 We are no longer taking holiday donations

“The Legacy holds a very special place in my heart. Since moving to Sonoma County three years ago, this place has changed the way I craft in ways I never could have imagined possible! They've made crafting of all kinds so much more accessible for me and many others by keeping their prices low, inventory organized, and always greeting shoppers with a smile. Huge gratitude to everyone who works to keep the Legacy alive and thriving!”
