Artist Statement:

May Day 1971

In 1971, the United States, was in the last 1/3 rd of the Viet Nam War. I had an industrial photography studio in San Francisco and learned of an anti-war protest and demonstration near the Bank of America World Headquarters.  I decided I would head down to the protest, observe, and take a few photos to document the event. The photos in this show are from my reflection of the participants / protestors, bystanders, and the police.

In addition to the Mayday photos I will be showing pieces that document my interest and reflections of life and my surroundings.

Future shows will have a theme; watch for our CALLS FOR ENTRIES. if you would like to participate, please fill out our interest form below.
