Welcome back Emily Webster & Kate Roach who are leading the tour!

About the trip: Climb aboard the New Sea Angler, in Bodega Bay, a spacious 65-foot whale watching boat to see amazing wildlife! Captain of the boat Rick Powers says it is a perfect time to see whales.  Having worked the Sonoma coast seas for over 35 years, Captain Rick knows the best spots to see whales, elephant seals, sea lions and other exciting marine life. Sonoma Coast Docent and Naturalist, Norma Jellison, will be aboard to answer your questions and speak about local marine life.  Norma has been a steward of the coast and redwoods for over 20 years, and is the founder of several coastal education programs. The boat trip will be approx. 2 ½ to 3 hours; lunch at Russian Restaurant to follow. Light snacks and water provided.

Lunch: Lunch is in Jenner at an authentic Russian Restaurant overlooking the Russian River. Vegetarian and gluten free options available. The restaurant is a short 10-minute, scenic drive from Porto Bodega.

Transportation: Meet at Porto Bodega by 9:30 a.m. Very clear directions will be provided when you sign up. Plenty of free parking close to Captain Powers’ “The New Sea Angler.” Rides from Sebastopol are available for those who want them; let the front desk know when you sign up.

To Register: Call 707-829-2440 or stop by the front desk. Payment due upon registration. Trips are non-refundable unless we (or you) can fill your spot.
