“ SENIOR CITIZEN: a class of people who hold the wisdom of the world.”
- urban dictionary
The Sebastopol Area Senior Center (SASC), incorporated in 1969, is Sonoma County’s oldest senior center and a proud nonprofit serving adults 60 and older. As a progressive, community-focused organization, we are committed to helping older adults find joy, purpose, and connection as they age. Our mission is to foster independence by offering opportunities for learning, social engagement, and recreation—supporting a fulfilling, healthy life at every stage of aging. We also work to educate the broader community about the aging process, honoring the wisdom, humor, and lifelong contributions of older adults while responding to their evolving needs with meaningful programs and support. At SASC, we believe no one should navigate the challenges of aging alone. Become a member.
📢 The Senior Center, Harvest Cafe, and The Legacy will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
🎉 Saturday Grand Opening | Jan 24th | 9am - 2pm

Current News:
“I joined when I was in my 50s, and now I’m 70. My mom moved in with me three years ago, and I was the only person she knew in Sebastopol. She turns 100 this year and we have used the classes at SASC to navigate both our aging issues. There is no other place in town that serves our community. SASC is a gem.”
