The Legacy
A Crafting and Resale Store
In late 1993, Sebastopol Area Senior Center was gifted a generous donation. A husband from Burlingame, whose wife had just passed, donated her extensive collection of crafting materials. Receiving her lifetime collection of supplies allowed SASC to launch a resale shop to sell her donated merchandise. Since then, The Legacy Shop has continually operated and grown, with donations from crafters all over the county. Today, The Legacy Shop has always been graciously stocked with crafting materials and supplies of all mediums. Depending on current donations, you can find fabrics from upholstery to silk, yarns from natural wool and cotton to synthetics, threads of every color imaginable, ribbon by the yard, edge bindings, knitting and sewing needles, acrylic paints, and brushes, and even sewing patterns!
All of The Legacy Shop's profits go to the Sebastopol Area Senior Center as part of its annual budget.
All materials are responsibly priced, new, and recycled.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
"As we age, we develop many communities, but my 'Legacy' community is incredibly important to me. My life would be so much more boring without it.” - Alexandra.
“The Legacy holds a very special place in my heart. Since moving to Sonoma County 3 years ago, this place has changed the way I craft in ways I never could have imagined possible! They've made crafting of all kinds SO much more accessible for me and many others by keeping their prices low, inventory organized, and always greeting shoppers with a smile. Huge gratitude to everyone who works to keep the Legacy alive and thriving!”
